Pecan Pie

Our Family’s Favorite Pecan Pie

Last week I shared that my family had two pie recipes that must be prepared for Thanksgiving dinner. With each of us each have one or the other as their favorite, it is not an option to eliminate either from the Thanksgiving menu. This pecan pie recipe is a recipe from my mother that she used for many year. I am very selective about my pecan pie and I must agree that others simply do not compare.

Ingredients:

3 Eggs

2/3 cups Sugar

1/3 tsp. Salt

1/3 cup melted Butter

1 cup Karo Syrup

1 cup crushed pecans

1 unbaked Pie Shell

Whipped Topping, if desired

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees

2. Combine the first 6 ingredients and mix well.

3. Bake at 375 degrees for 40 to 50 minutes.

4. Serve with whipped topping, if desired.
